Luminous 97m2 2BR apt w/Sauna in Katajanokka

Worst experience!! Negative: The stay was terrible and it was nothing like what was advertised in booking.com These are the concerns which we faced even before entering the apartment: - There was a security deposit of 200€ which was not mentioned anywhere on Booking.com until the payment was done for reservation. - For collecting the key, we had to travel almost 3 kms from the apartment to 2ndhomes office. This was tedious considering the place was new to us as it was our first time in Helsinki & we had to travel all the way with our luggage just to collect the keys. Below were the issues that we had to face during the stay: 1. The advertised second bedroom was not equipped with a bed. Instead, there was a broken sofa, and the actual bed was located in a loft accessible only by a ladder, which was unsuitable for our needs. 2. The building's condition, including the paintwork & flooring (flaking paint, broken tiles) was significantly misrepresented in the online photographs. The images appear to have been heavily edited, creating a misleading impression of a newer building. 3. The cabinet beneath the kitchen sink was dirty, containing visible dirt & debris. 4. The dishwasher was emitting a foul moldy smell when opened. 5. There was visible dirt and so much lint on the floor near the dryer and washing machine, and also inside the dryer. 6. The bathroom drain was dirty and contained hair, indicating a lack of proper cleaning. 7. There were bugs inside the kitchen drawers. 8. One of the smoke detectors in the kitchen was broken and was inside the drawer. 9. There was even a dirty sock on the floor in the living room. Our continuous requests to immediately refund our money so that we could move to another apartment was never answered in a timely manner.

Had everything we needed for a short stay in central Helsinki Positive: Location was amazing, the apartment was very spacious Negative: Nothing I didn’t like, one of the sofa beds was broken and couldn’t be used but we were able to use the one in the living room.

прекрасное место.Очень удобное и потрясающий район,который напомнил нам САнкт-Петербург Positive: понравилось рассположение.Комфортабельный тихий район.Путешествовали семьей-много хороших кроватей И главное сауна-которая помогает расслабиться Постирали и высушили белье.Все что нужно для проживания в центре Хельсинки было.Понравилось Рекомендую Negative: неожиданностью стало при наличии посудомоечной машины отсутсвие таблеток .Посуду было нечем мыть в посудомоечной машине.Расстояние между местом где забирали ключ в 16 часов и место аппартаментов 1км.Мы были уставшие с дороги и дети очень утомились Так как шли с вещами

Positive: Location Negative: I have been a regular Booking.com user for 5 years and have stayed in over 40 accommodations, but these were by far the most disappointing apartments. I never expected to have such an experience in Finland, Helsinki, especially since I had very high expectations when traveling there. What was most upsetting was the feeling of injustice, as the photos and reality were vastly different. The apartment is clearly rented out without any renovations or care: the ceilings are crumbling, there is mold above the windows, the shower, locks, and many other things are worn out, and the dishes are chipped. Although the management sent a cleaner after I filed a complaint, there’s only so much cleaning can fix – many things need to be properly renewed. It wouldn’t have been as bad if the photos hadn’t been so misleading. The feeling and the actual condition of the apartment are nothing like what is shown in the pictures.

Negative: decided to take our security deposit because there was a empty packet of cigarettes left behind after we’d left. No evidence of actual smoking in the flat
